General

CrossFit Merchtem BV (hereinafter referred to as CrossFit Merchtem) processes personal data in accordance with this privacy statement. For further information, questions or remarks about the privacy policy, please contact us at info@crossfitmerchtem.com.

1.     Processing purposes

CrossFit Merchtem collects and processes personal data from customers for customer and order management purposes (including customer administration, invoicing, solvency follow-up and sending marketing and personalised advertising). This involves, more specifically, processing the customer's surname, first name, date of birth, telephone number, email address, native language and address. These data will only be used for the purposes specified in this privacy statement.

2.     Legal bases for processing

Personal data are processed on the basis of article 6.1.

(a) consent;

(b) necessary for the performance of a contract; of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Insofar as the processing of personal data takes place on the basis of article 6.1. a) (consent), the customer is always entitled to withdraw the consent given. Personal data shall only be processed for internal (marketing) purposes within CrossFit Merchtem (such as sending a newsletter) and shall only be passed on to external partners who assist CrossFit Merchtem in storing and securing these data, as well as for specific purposes such as reserving a group lesson via an external partner.

3.     Transfer to third parties

If this is necessary to achieve the intended objectives, the personal data of the customer will be shared with other companies within the European Economic Area that are directly or indirectly connected with CrossFit Merchtem or with any other partner of CrossFit Merchtem. CrossFit guarantees that these recipients will take the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

4.     Storage period

The personal data processed for customer administration purposes will be stored for the period necessary to comply with the legal requirements (such as those applicable to accounting).

5.     Right of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and transferability of personal data

The customer is at all times entitled to access his personal data and can correct them (or have them corrected) if they are incorrect or incomplete, have them erased, have their processing restricted, and object to the processing of personal data concerning him on the basis of article 6.1 (e) or (f), including profiling on the basis of these provisions. Moreover, the customer has the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, common and machine-readable form) of his personal data and to request that the personal data are forwarded to another company.

6.     Direct marketing

The customer has the right to object free of charge to any processing of his personal data for the purpose of direct marketing.

7.     Complaint

The Client has the right to submit a complaint to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels - commission@privacycommission.be).
